21k Standard Chartered Marathon
I'm alive! This is after the 21k, which potentially, had a large possibility for screw-up.
I actually had to walk about 5k or so, but that was not because I was tired, but rather because I felt a sharp pain in my kidney after 'lunning' my piss since the 5k mark. When i was running the AHM 12k, I was underhydrated, so I didn't have this problem (If you ran it, you'd find out that the water points were very wide apart and badly organised.) and furthermore, this time round I didn't have any problems until the 12k mark.
I did try to stop for a toilet break, but the guy inside was pooping, and after a while I decided to screw it and continue running. This happened for the next few toilets along the way, until I was on the looong stretch along Shenton way to Nicoll Highway (the second U-turn), and I had to walk because the pain was making me jerk when I landed, and that looked like I was throwing a fit. I only managed to continue running when I knew the toilet was in sight. Then after that I continued running all the way to the end. Might I add I pissed in the very toilet another female runner cringed and literally jumped away from when she opened the door. There was good reason, too - there was shit everywhere. On the dunny, at least, literally. With the lack of a flush, the stuff was all over. My expression was of mild shock when I pissed, until I realised it might be wiser to piss close to me, since shit tends to rebound when hit. Better my piss than someone else's shit.
Nonetheless, 2 hours, 12 minutes, with the pansy walking halfway, and that toilet break which will leave me with terrors through the night (I just know it). The timing's not very good, but all things considered, I didn't hit the wall thanks to the abundant water breaks. They were godsends.
The baggage collection was murder though - I spent an hour waiting for my bag.
The Key thing is - I finished around the 2hour mark instead of the 3 hour I was expecting (as I had initially thought I would walk the remaining 10k).
Alright, now to rest for about 2 weeks, then I'm back on my feet to train for the 21k AHM next year...for a sub 1.30 timing. (*evil smirk)

Lillian : Yeah, it's really great fun, even with the pain, mental battles in the entire run. Next year, I intend to be fully prepared for the race, mwahaha!
Phishy : Thanks! And congrats too! Personal best? And heh, the baggage fella was some young dude who looked half asleep. Wanted to go in and shake him up a little, but decided against it >.<

Heh heh, you'd be surprised at the number of unfit people actually running for the first time there! I get the impression I was one of them =_= Running's easier than most other sports, in that you don't really have to pick up anything - you just run.
And you'd probably not have been able to recognize me la, I'm the type who looks bedraggled with puffy hair, pale cheeks and bright eyes after the race, unlike some others who can look like they just came out of a shower.
