Animal Testing Products
It's really alarming how the degree of animal cruelty has advanced globally so much so that nobody knows for sure if the product they use are products of cruelty.

In the news in the link above is the IAMS company, responsible for the vivisection on animals for the testing of their products.
viv·i·sec·tion Pronunciation: "vi-v&-'sek-sh&n, 'vi-v&-"
Function: nounEtymology: Latin vivus + English section1 : the cutting of or operation on a living animal usually for physiological or pathological investigation; broadly : animal experimentation especially if considered to cause distress to the subject.
In other words, Cutting While Alive.
The appalling thing about this bit of info is that the other products I use which involve animal testing are :
Just about every thing I've been using.
And that includes Colgate-Palmolive : guess what? Colgate, Listerine, Hills Science Diet (Which i once even tried to recommend to my mother)
And guess what? Proctor and Gamble (P&G) does animal testing as well. In fact, IAMS is owned by P&G. Olay, Vicks, Clairol, Covergirl, Duracell USA, Braun, Gillette, Head and Shoulders, Herbal Essences, Hugo Boss, Lacoste, Natural instincts, Oral-B, Pampers, Pringles, Pantene, SK-II, Vicks etc etc.
Nestlé Purina/Friskies: Alpo, Bonio, Felix, Go Cat, Gourmet, Omega Complete, Proplan, Spillers, Vital Balance, Winalot.
Pedigree, Masterfoods (Mars Inc): Bounce, Cesar, Chappie, Frolic, James Wellbeloved, Katkins, Kitekat, Pal, Pedigree Chum, Royal Canin, Sheba, Techni-cal (US & Canada), Whiskas. Pedigree also manufacture Thomas rabbit food and Trill bird food.
All of the above do Animal Testing.
But to be honest, I'd rather go naked and unscrubbed then use anything that's been the cause of death in any animal. Not that I'm not going to, of course. There are alternatives.
However, the perk of this incredible (and no doubt probably irritating to you) stretch of veganism and eye-opening of what goes on around me is that I actually see the terrible atrocities humans are capable of - more than I had imagined. Being able to see what happens around me now gives me a sense of 'realness'.
I also find that I can now watch "American Idol" at the normal volume without having to twist my face like a chinese dumpling.
Also, I've found out that my mom is the greatest Vegan cook :)
