Post Real Run 06
I'm back from the Real Run 2006, and I'm still very much alive, though I suspect in 2 days time I'd regret it. It was rather run - Road, Sand, Road, Sand, Road, Trail, Road. I particularly liked the trail - absolutely breathtakingly beautiful for a city slicker like me.
Race pack consisted of a nature valley honey and oat bar, which was interestingly crumbly, a kissable Milk Chocolate packet, a Footcare balm for cracked feet (which I don't have), an eagle brand muscular balm, discounts and advertisements, a postcard (wtf?)and most important of all, the event climacool t-shirt and the shoe-bag, plus a handpouch which is quite handy.
Timing : 1:10:27 (around that, plus or minus a few seconds). If you think that's bad timing for a 10k, I have 2 ready defences for myself :
1) I walked throughout the sand part because I started at the back and by the time I reached the sand, it was loose and felt like I was running in marsh lands.
2) I was running with this :

Slung across my left shoulder. I had originally planned to go early to get baggage service, but I forgot my damned wallet, so it was either miss the run, or do the same thing like I did during the AHM (10k) last year. It was substantially heavier this year because it had my handphone, mp3 player, sandals, shorts, muscular balm, vaseline, and some miscellaneous things. I had to therefore stop occasionally so I could rest.
Also saw my BMT officer there - was considering whether to avoid him at all costs, since he's a bleeding bastard who'd report me to the authorities for running even though i'm injured. And it's not because he's concerned for me - he wants me in a cell with tattoed men called bubba. But, ran anyway. Figured that if I wasn't dead by the end of the run, I'd still have enough strength to kill him, hopefully.
Lastly, I shall retire to my very small bed now, where I can die.

Sssup!!
Yeah, it was a killer route for the sand part only, the rest of the trail was really relaxing.
You were there? Didn't see you around?? And I tanned badly on this one - think I need to go back to swim first before I'll get rid of the pasty look =_=''
