Results and Backside
Update : Got a Damned "C" For my MMS!!! WTF?!
=========================================
Year 2 First Term Results are in!!
Consumer Behaviour : B
Financial Management : B
Economics of Industry : A
Marketing & Management Strategy : C
I seem to be horribly jinxed at Math and operations-based subjects. So far my battle records are :
Year 1
Foundations of Accounting 1 : B
Foundations of Accounting 2 : C
Quantitative Methods in Information Management : C
Organisational Information Systems : B
Business Law : A
Organisational Behaviour : B
Organisational Psychology : A
Business Economics : A
Practice of Management : A
Foundations of Marketing : B
Foundations of Production and Operations Management : C
Which, although not terrible, could have been much better if I had studied harder hahaha who am I trying to kid.
Every single one of the above exams were studied for in the span of 2 days, hence qualifying me as a damn bloody genius.
"C"s notwithstanding, of course.
Kinda tired from work. New boss, shit-loads of rubbish to do, and funnily enough, people who don't think I'm doing anything at all.
Ade and I walked through my career options, and I must say : Resigning and finding new employment is looking real attractive now.
I wouldn't be naiive enough to say that Civil Servant Administrators are undermined, underpaid and overworked, since there are some people here who can talk for hours on handphones and still get paid more than me, and I suspect it isn't very different in the private sector, but all the work I have to do (even at my pace) and stuff I need to follow up on really doesn't justify the $1280 nett I take home everyday despite being in the civil service since 2004 and having 7.5 years experience in administration with 2 from the Private Sector and another 2.5 from National Service.
Talent-discovery and retention my backside.
The only "talent-discovery" the civil service does is only related to Degree Holders, not to the people who fall in between the cracks, like me. So when people fall into the asscrack of society, the Singapore Civil Service does the most logical thing :
It Ignores Them.

Hey, ever considered Journalism?
You write very well you know, though you may not have a fancy schpants Liberal arts or Mass Comm degree to show for it.
Think you'd probably have more of a future there than being stuck in a dusty cubbyhole in a tangled bureaucracy.

and actually, you probably write better than alot of the arts or mass comm undergrads that I know of. Least there's depth and content, not just a pretense (noun of pretend?) of it.

I did, actually - Though quite unfortunately after applying for some journalist jobs I realised it's not quite possible without experience. Then again, if you can't work if you don't have the relevant experience, how the heck will you Get that experience, anyway? Looking into some kind of freelance self-published thingie.. though restricted by budget. =.= Again.

hey, just want to congratulate you on your great results, and of course, your proposal on 25th December! Your gf is one lucky lady
An accounting degree will get you a comfortable job in the private sector, so money will be no problem for you moving forward. Glad to see that things are going swimmingly well for u;)

Thanks! =) Not fully satisfied since I was aiming for all As and Bs, but heck, I really did the work at the last minute so I guess I deserve it =.=
Yeah, and accounting degree will be really lucrative! I'm sure being a Marketing Degree graduate (heh heh heh) will put me in good stead to becoming an accountant.
Hope things are going fine on your end? =)

I'm doing okay, the good part about working life is that the work ends after workin hours! Wow that's an expensive laptop bag!
